Sales Shopping!

Hey lovelies, this year I managed to get some really good deals in the Christmas Eve/Boxing Day sales and I thought i'd show you what I bought.
Knitted Jumper- £25 from Topshop
I don't usually tend to look at anything other than make-up in House of Fraser, but I actually bought this in their Topshop concession. I love wearing big chunky knitted jumpers, particularly with shirts underneath as I think it looks really cute when the collar pokes out! I don't often buy knitwear from Topshop as I think it's really overpriced but this was a great deal (it was originally £46) and I loved the peach colour.

Playsuit- £25 from Topshop
I didn't see that much in the Topshop sale that I liked but I saw this in store in the petite section and thought it looked really pretty. It's a nude/cream colour and is made of a chiffon type material and I think it will look great with a statement necklace and a pair of heels on a night out. Also, i'm pretty sure it's the one Tanya Burr is wearing in her twitter icon photo!

Skort- £19.99 from Zara
I already have a black skort from Zara and I love it, so when I saw this tartan one in the sale I knew I had to have it! This one looks more skirt-like from the front which I like and the material feels really high quality. I think this could be good for everyday wear but i'm also excited to see how I can style this for a night out.

Necklace- £2 from New Look
I don't tend to wear much jewellery on a daily basis, but i've wanted a new statement necklace for a while. I like that the spikes on this necklace are only at the front as it means it'll go well with a collared shirt. I think this will compliment a lot of outfits and for £2 you can't really go wrong!

Shoes- £4 from Primark
These weren't strictly in a sale as such as Primark always have offers on their shoes, but I wanted a nice pair of brown pumps for everyday wear and I liked the style of these ones. They're a ballet pump/moccasin hybrid and I know i'll get a lot of use out of them.

Riding Boots- £20 from New Look
I'd wanted some riding boots for a while as I think they are a great winter staple and I saw this pair online in the New Look sale for just £20 reduced from £69.99, which I thought was great considering they're real leather! They're quite a slim fit which I like as it means they look great with skinny jeans but the elastic back means they do have a little stretch room. I wore these for the first time on a day trip to London which probably wasn't the greatest idea as I ended up having to pop to Boots for some Compeed plasters but hopefully once i've worn them in a bit more they'll be okay!

I also bought some new underwear from Gilly Hicks, but i'm still waiting for it to come. They have some great deals on at the moment though so i'd definitely recommend checking them out!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I got in the sales, did you manage to grab any good deals?

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!

Hey lovelies, i've got another OOTD post for you today! The other day Motel Rocks had a 25% off discount with myunidays, so I decided to get this lovely red daisy print tea dress that i'd been lusting over for weeks. I love the pretty, feminine cut of this dress with the gathered waist and skater style skirt, when I first tried it on I couldn't stop twirling around in it!

As this is such a girly dress i've been teaming it with my trusty Topshop cut-out boots and tights, in order to "grunge" it up a bit! Here are a few photos that my boyfriend took of me  when we went for a walk by the sea the other day :)

This dress retails for £40.00 here, but you can get 20% off of this dress, or any other item from motelrocks.com with the exclusive code I have for you guys: bethstrong

Hope you liked this post, talk to you soon x

The Infamous Zara Skort

Hello lovelies, sorry my posting has been so sporadic recently but second year is intense! I seriously have so much uni work right now that finding even a spare half an hour to write a blog post is proving difficult. But enough of my excuses, onto the post haha.

As far as I can recall I haven't yet done any OOTD posts, but I wanted to share one of my favourite recent purchases with you, this "skort" from Zara. Now if you read any fashion blogs you're bound to have seen this already as it is a bloggers' favourite. I fell in love with it when I saw it on the Zara website and despite having absolutely no idea how i'd style it, I knew I had to have it. Today I teamed it with a cropped jumper from H&M, my favourite cut-out boots from Topshop and kept accessories simple with just a silver Casio watch.

I love this skort so much and i'd really like to get the white one too as it is such a versatile piece. It can be worn casually like I have here, or dressed up for a night out with a sheer blouse and heels.

This skort retails for £25.99 and is available in orange, blue, white and black here.

What do you think?
P.S. The Casio watch was very kindly sent to me by thewatchhut.co.uk for free.

Chelsea Boots

Despite the fact that it is technically summer, I very much prefer autumn/winter styles and have been on the hunt for a decent pair of Chelsea boots for months.

I've had my eye on the ABE2 Ultimate Chelsea Boots from Topshop for ages and I stare longingly at them every time I wander in store. They are 100% leather and absolutely beautiful!
However, along with the "ultimate" Chelsea boots comes the "ultimate" price and being a student, I (sadly) cannot afford to spend £65 on boots at the moment!

I recently came across the website Daisy Street and was pleasantly surprised when I logged on one day to discover that they had a 30% off promotion across the entire site (using code YES30) They have a wide variety of different Chelsea Boots; studded ones, heeled ones and even a rather questionable pair of leopard print ones ;) However, I opted for the Cheska Classic Chelsea Boots in Brown, which are also available in black. The original price of these boots was £29.99, so with the 30% off they were just over £20, which is amazing.

When I first opened the box I was slightly taken aback as they did smell rather odd... Not particularly bad, just slightly like plastic, which I suppose is to be expected, they were only £20 after all. However, this soon wore off and I am really loving them. They're really comfortable, the dark tan colour means that they will coordinate well with any outfit and quite simply, they just look nice. In fact, a couple of my friends liked them so much that they've already ordered themselves a pair too! I can't wait to wear them with cute dresses and tights in winter.
What are your thoughts on Chelsea boots?
